Paragon was a third-person multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Epic Games.
At the height of the MOBA craze when practically every major developer was trying to wrestle a piece of the market from the likes of Riot Games and Valve, Paragon’s development team was given free rein when making the title.
Unfortunately, a series of issues both in-game and on the business end between Epic Games and Tencent led to the demise of Paragon before it could really take off.
For most titles that share such a fate, this would typically be the end of the story, but for Paragon a group of passionate developers took action to restore the beloved game and gave rise to its second coming.
This is the story of Paragon.

Predecessor and Overprime are both set to enter Early Access this year.
And huge news for Overprime, they have permission from Epic Games to use the Paragon branding, so the title was changed to Paragon: The Overprime

Even after 4 years, I can still confidently say that paragon was the best moba I have ever played.
I played Paragon for about a week and a half when it was live and I'm gonna be completely honest. It was so boring. The game lacked personality and direction from the get-go. The card system was never good, the map was indeed way too big when I played and wasn't fun to move around in. No character really "grabbed me" like they had in other MOBAS.
I'm not saying it was a bad game, it just never found its footing and the foundation was clearly flawed.

Honestly third person mobas are way better than top down mobas. That's why I justbplay smite cuz it makes you feel like your the character your playing. In my opinion that is.

Ethereal is looking really attractive because of the insane verticality being added to that version. They are making an entirely new game.
This game was amazing i didnt like mobas until i played this and it sparked a flame in me that i haven't felt since Black ops 2. I check every year to see if it would make a return ive never played a moba like it and it left me wanting to find an experience like it again. Sadly to no avail i hope they are able to revive this game so we can finally have a great game to play unlike these sad and disappointing games that keep being dished out with crazy monetization.

After paragon shut down, I started playing smite. And as good as smite is, it's just not as good as paragon was. Paragon was by far my favorite MOBA ever. I really wish epic games would bring it back.

I absolutely loved Paragon until they started making crappy changes to the game that wasn’t necessary.
I watch this again and again, because the game resonates with me to this day despite it's been gone for a long, long time. Shit hurts, man.
Paragon was so much fun ! In every way! Epic shutting it down still hurts and it’s unforgivable. I have tried other mobas since and nothing even comes close
i am always confused how it is "hard" for new players to learn the card system like i played paragon a lot and then i played smite a little after it was killed and the item system is more or less teh same just the difference that there are so many more items compared to the limited card system. never understood what the problem behind the card system for people is

I was a HUGE Paragon fan, my hatred for Fortnite goes beyond the usual corporate crap graphics and kiddy gameplay, it also comes from the closure of Paragon. I played as Revenant with the Raven Quill skin.
Broke my heart when it shut down. I didn't even get to see it off on its last day.

Card system was great it, wasn't baby friendly though. AAA graphics, 100% f2p, new hero every month, weekly dev vlog. It was the best. v.44 and Fortnite killed Paragon.
