stop calling it MOBA !.. its a DEFENSE not a BATTLE ARENA.. its a disgrace to Defense and the real battle arena games.. ARENA = a closed stage or open field where people battle each other.. it has no trees towers or random spawns.. bloodline champions is a real MOBA.. dota and lol is a HERO DEFENSE..

My first was Smite, and now I mostly play League, I tried Dota but was so confused by it, I just gave up. I really want to play it though, it looks like fun. In an order of easiest to hardest I would say it goes Smite -> League -> Dota. Because the micromanaging gets much more intense farther down.

My first MOBA was before it was called MOBA. Original Dota, old school. I remember the days when bone fletcher, bounty hunter and other invisi heroes were absolutely OP, mostly because there weren't any detection items like gem or sentry wards. Oh yeh and Techies was awesome!
But again, this was before detection came, so techies in Dota 2 just wouldn't work, he'd be way too predictable.
My first MOBA was the one where I didn't play any MOBAs because I like socializing and seeing actual women in my day-to-day life.
1st moba was dota1 tryed dota 2 and league but as soon as I played smite I never looked back
I've played around a few hours of LoL and I just couldn't get into it. MOBAs just never clicked with me .-.

Played a little bit of Aeon of Strife in starcraft, I tried to like dota but blizzard decided that the color blind mode in WC3 would make enemies red and friends green… So yeah… Currently 3000 hours and going strong in dota 2
DOTA is so boring… LoL is better.
For me is Smite, I played Dota 2 and I liked it but then I saw smite…I wont say one is better than the other, but more of a matter of preference. The 3rd person perspective really sold me out and plus it's cool to have kind of a lore. Still play dota because its amazing but not so often
The term MOBA is shit. Multiplayer Online Battle Arena? Wtf is that shit, it can be applied to any multiplayer competitive game. Same with "Arena". A bloody Battlefield 4 map is an arena too. Doesn't make sense at all.

I played DotA first then switched to HoN. And when DotA 2 came out, I played it for awhile then got bored and quit the whole DotA scene.I still have more hours wasted in HoN. Was a good game with a shitty community just like every MOBA games out there.

I start moba at DOTA from Warcraft3 where it took 15min to load a map(even with the strongest computer during that time), during year 2005 got sick of it after 3 years.
