Predecessor certainly looks great, but I do think big or bigger map with a complex jungle is important to emulate the original game though.

This is such a failed explanation. First off Overprime is essentially a triple A studio. Netease is massive and they will instantly have market share in Korea which is huge for games. In all honesty unless Predecessor and Overprime both flop, Fault will 100% die. Its not a good game in its current state really and it really brings nothing to the table to make it last. Most of the player base is likely playing it while waiting for one of the other. I expect overprime to probably be slightly smaller on release because clearly there is a huge amount of people who doesnt understand the project but I am pretty certain that it will win. Also people, you might like paragon but a faithful clone will not work. There is a reason it died to start with. There is a place for that type of game but a new take will almost always appeal to more people. Probably pointless to explain all this but if I was betting I would say probably 85% chance that Overprime comes out the winner. Too many positive factors pointing towards it and really the only negatives are the people who want to play the other versions for some reason and the perception of the project being completely wrong.
Out of all the disappointments in gaming over the years paragon shutting down actually stung, I had so much fun playing with friends and solo on that game. My favorite character was Lt. Belica.
Cards in Paragon always could be obtained by in-game currency, we never had the chance to buy them with real money, that's absolutely false.
Predecessor isn't aiming for a Legacy card, map and gameplay system, they are clearly based on Monolith times, even if the map has some influences of the original Legacy map. Actually, Overprime map is clearly the Legacy map but in a smaller scale, due to the huge size of the original map.
overprime has quite the chance of becoming the main paragon, mostly since it's netease that's behind it

Dude, I've been playing fault and thought that it was the only game that was "paragonish," and then I saw this and was like, WHAT THE HECK WHY ARE THERE 3 PARAGON GAMES???? XD Honestly though, I'm super confused. How come none of these are keeping the full rights to the game? I don't wanna start making content for the wrong game hahaha
Here after predecessor got invested 20 million. Hopefully this gives it the boost it needs. And tbh out of the 3 pred feels and looks like paragon the most. Rooting for it.
I'll go for the most faithfull adaptation of vanilla Paragon , since that"s what i miss about it.
In my opinion, fault is alright but will instantly die if predecessor will be playable. Overprime feels like a cheap mobile game to me. I’m going predecessor all the way, they could literally release the game as it was in the last playtest.

My two favorite competitive games and communities were both cancelled while in early access. These games were Nosgoth and Paragon. Both were amazing in their own right, with a very passionate fanbase, and both were cancelled because the overseeing companies deemed them less than optimally profitable.
It really sucks that all the remakes ditched the card system. The card system is part of what made paragon paragon.
I'd just note that fault's bad reputation was from a bunch of quick onboarders joining day 1, getting pissed about the quality, and never touching it again. They're RIGHT to be pissed that it cost $20 for a pretty buggy game, but the majority of people who have tried the game in the last few months have stated that it's come leaps and bounds from then.
Also it is now free on steam.
I earned every card. The card and gem system was the best part of the game and made every build very unique.
